Truetimber Arborists, Inc., is one of the most popular tree service companies in Richmond and
due to our safety program has received Accreditation from the Tree Care Industry Association.

Truetimber Academy is dedicated to training all Truetimber Employees to be on the cutting edge of Arboriculture.

We have training programs in place for entry level ground persons to experienced climbers. We continue to push ourselves to be a industry leader in jobsite safety as well as our ability to perform arboriculture activities.

Whether teaching how to lower sections of trees to setting up a crane’s rigging on a storm damaged tree, we try to provide hands on and classroom training that allows our employees to feel comfortable pushing their skills to the next level.

Aerial Lift Specialist Class – April 19, 2019

Truetimber Arborists’ Academy is teaming up with The Arborist Safety Training Institute (ASTI) and Vermeer Mid Atlantic to provide a half day training focusing on Aerial Lifts and the hazards associated with them. Attendees will receive a TCA Aerial Lift Specialist Training Program Manual. Lunch is not Included.

The Aerial Lift Specialist course is designed to give an additional credential to tree care apprentices. This course will help you document and verify that the company has given OSHA-required safety training to all employees according to their job descriptions, as well as help them feel they are part of an important industry with a career path.

Use of Aerial Lift Specialist training as part of the TCIA Tree Care Academy™ also meets the TCIA Accreditation standard.

This Class had been postponed until June due to lack of signups. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Electrical Hazards Awareness Program Workshop – August 17, 2018

Truetimber Arborists’ Academy teamed up with The Arborist Safety Training Institute (ASTI) and Vermeer Mid Atlantic to provide an all day training focusing on ways electrical hazards effect the production arborists and how to avoid the hazards associated with it. The training was an introduction into TCIA’s EHAP program. All attendees received a TCIA EHAP kit that included a copy of the 2017 ANSI Z133.

The Electrical Hazards Awareness Program (EHAP) is a great way to keep your crews aware of electrical hazards and reduce injuries and losses, plus keep them trained and ready so you’re prepared to qualify for storm clean-up at any moment.

Truetimber Academy was proud to be a part of the 2018 MAC-ISA’s Day of Safety

The MAC-ISA’s mission for Day of Safety is “To promote a culture of safety while fostering education”. This was a great day to learn from peers and network with others.
